Article Directory - Make Money From Home Scams

There are all kinds of different jobs and opportunities that you can do online today, and there are also a lot of scams out there just waiting to take your money and run.  There are several things that you can do in order to be prepared and learn the difference between a legitimate work at home opportunity and a scam.

Lets say that you hear about the Plug In Profit Site, which is a legitimate home business opportunity, but you might not know that at first.  What do you do?

First you must consider whether or not the sales pitch sounds too good to be true.  If it does, it probably is and you should walk away and not look back.  Many people get sucked in by scams claiming that you can make all kinds of money the very same day without doing much of anything.  This is just not true, and no one should fall for such things.

Secondly, if the salescopy you are reading seems doable, and something you would be interested in, simply do some more research.  Try and find some honest reviews if possible.  If the opportunity is a scam, there will most likely be a lot of negative responses about it around the web.  Do yourself a favor and look around before you buy into something that might not work for you.

After considering the opportunity and doing some serious research, if you are still not sure about it, you should be able to contact someone about it and get some more information.  If this is not possible, then maybe you should just walk away to be on the safe side.  If the opportunity that you are interested in is legitimate, there should be someone on the other end willing to give you some help and direction.

There are all kinds of legitimate work at home jobs and home business opportunities around the web that you can do.  If you want to get paid by the hour, you can find work at home jobs through online job boards.  Be careful, you should not have to put out any money to get involved with any of these opportunities, as you will be earning an hourly wage from your home just like having a desk job at an office.

With other opportunities you will have to be more careful.  You may have to put out some money for a website, or product, but you should always be getting something in return for any legitimate work at home opportunity.

I'll give you a good example; I joined the Plug In Profit Site a little less than 2 years ago which is a legitimate home business opportunity.  The Plug In Profit Site gives members a free website that they can customize and call their own, but they must each pay for the hosting.  Thus is the requirement for having your own website.  This website is setup for each member in under 24 hours, and allows them to generate residual income through several different online programs that have been proven and tested to work.

Some people make a great income with the Plug In Profit Site (PIPS), some make a decent income, and others make very little income.  This is the way the online world works.  What you make is determined by how much you work, or more accurately, what you do with what you know.  Anyone can do all kinds of work on the wrong thing or the wrong way, but PIPS teaches its members the right way to do things with a success guide lasting 30 days, and a very popular marketing forum where members can ask all the questions they want.

I'm sure there are other great opportunities similar to that of PIPS, but PIPS is the best one I have seen because of the free website and the free training.  It takes time and hard work, that's no secret, in order to make a decent income, but it is very possible.

Do your research, and don't simply trust the salescopy when deciding on joining any work at home opportunity.  It's fairly easy to spot a scam from a legitimate home business opportunity.  You just have to know what to look for; review, research and relax.
