The majority of businesses that start online are known to end up becoming unsuccessful.  Perhaps you are reading this because you have been unsuccessful in your attempts to make money online.  In any case, if your desire is to operate a successful online business, there are things that you will need to take into account.  

Have a Plan

Without a business plan, you are basically destined to fail online.  You cannot come into the online marketplace with no plan and expect to be successful.  Set some goals, set some restrictions, and set up a general business plan.  

Spend Less

Too many marketers find themselves frustrated and failing because they spend way too much money online.  Try to limit your spending as much as possible, at least until it can be covered by profits.  Don't fall for ideas that sound too good to be true, and don't buy anything that the "gurus" try and market to you.  Do your research, talk to people whom you trust, and do not overspend.  

Use Proven Methods of Success

In order to operate a successful business, you don't need to re-invent the wheel.  Find out what works and what doesn't, and commit to doing the things that work.  This is not rocket science.  Too many people become frustrated because they keep doing things that bring them little or no results, until failure hits.  

Stick to It

Perseverance will be a huge key to your success.  Obviously, if other businesses had persevered, they would not have failed.  The point is, your business will have bad days, your business will have slow days, and you may not reach all of your goals when you want to, but you need to persevere through it all to obtain success.  If you are doing something that works, don't give up.  Keep at it!  Don't stop running until you have crossed the finish line.  

These are 4 basic keys to running a more successful online business.  Incorporate them into your business and you will be much more likely to succeed.  Fail to follow them and your business will be much more likely to fail.
