Simply by looking at the keywords, "work from home", we can see that there should be work involved somewhere.  However, many online marketers would have you believe that you don't actually need to do any work to make money from home.  This has to be the lamest of all marketing techniques because of course you are going to need to do some work if you are working from home.  Whomever is marketing to you had to do some work, and so will you if you seek to work from home.  

Working from home sounds like a great thing to do, but it's not something that everyone can do, and you definitely cannot be successful if you never get any work done.  Those who are successful are doing, or have done work at some point.  Now, it is possible to earn a residual income online, which is an income that will continue to flow into your accounts every month based on past efforts, but it is not something that can be obtained from zero efforts.  In order to earn residual income, some work must at least have been done in the beginning.  Passive income is something that is possible, but some work must first be accomplished.

Many people would like you to believe that you don't actually have to do any work, and that you will just somehow earn an income from home.  This is a terrible marketing technique because it is not true, and also decreases the odds that people will join a legitimate company at some point.  There are actually a lot of ways to make money from home, which makes working from home legitimate, but marketers that attempt to profit from lies and false promises are ruining the home business market for everyone.  

In order to work from home everyone must actually be doing some work.  Otherwise they are either earning residual income from past efforts that continue to pay out, or they have invested money into some type of private investment company.  However, if you are not doing the investment thing, and you have not built up any residual income as of yet, then you will need to get to work if you ever hope to earn any income from home.  

The internet is filled with lies, false promises, and scams, but there are legitimate companies out there.  If you seek to work from home and you actually want to do some work, there are plenty of things that you can do online to make money from home.  Do your research, get connected with people whom you trust, and be careful not to make any purchases that you don't actually need.  Remember, if it sounds too good to be true online then it probably is just that.
