Most people come into internet marketing, and they ask the question: How do I make money?

The real question that should be asked is: What kind of value can I add?

Internet marketing is about making relationships, serving, and helping others, before making money.

The first thing that you need to do, is shift your focus from making money, to helping others. Internet marketing is getting bigger by the day. Many people want to know how to make money online. You need to make relationships, and get involved with other marketers. Ask yourself, how you can help others make money, and new ideas will come to you.

How do you spend your money? Do you just give it away? Do you spend it on useless things that you don't need, or will never use? Usually not! So ask yourself this question: Why would someone pay you money? What do you have to offer? Money is exchanged for value. When someone makes a lot of money from their home business, you can assume that they have helped a lot of people.

Change up your question, and ask yourself how you can earn income online, by providing value to others.

A lot of the programs on the internet, that you can use to earn income from home, are affiliate programs. When you sign up for any one program, you are usually assigned a sponsor (usually the person who brought you to the program via their link). When you refer others to the same program, you will in turn be the sponsor of those whom you refered. When you help others, whom you have personally sponsored with your efforts, and they in turn help those whom they have also sponsored, then you have actually duplicated yourself. As this goes on, compound growth is created, where hundreds, and even thousands could join your home business (which in this case would be marketing affiliate programs). As you are helping others become successful, and earn an income from their home businesses, your time is well spent.

What value do you have to offer your affiliates, contacts, and fellow marketers?

Read, learn, teach, and help others achieve success. Build relationships, and combine your skills and knowledge, with other marketers. Offer your time, energy, and understanding. Inspire, challenge, listen, encourage, provide hope, and new ways of thinking. Offer free, valuable information; like an E-Book. Traffic and sales will increase. Create a promotional E-Book for others to use, or get permission to use an existing E-Book. Allow your affiliates to download your E-Book, so that they may give it away to others. You might offer them an ebook that is rebrandable, so that they can change some of the links, and offer it to their affiliates. Your information, and links will spider web out, throughout the internet, which will be attainable to many others. You can also put your links on free stuff like; E-Coupons, E-Reports, software, an E-Course, as well as an E-Book. Traffic and sales will continue to increase.

What do we get out of helping others?

Of course we want to help ourselves, and we usually place little or no value on helping others. Has this ever worked out well?

It's true that we have to work hard, and do our part in order to be successful. But we can't do everything alone. Internet marketing is not a one man system. If is was, it would never work. Scams, and schemes don't last long, where those at the top are just reaping what those below have sowed.

Helping others is important. We need to learn the proven methods of success from those who are more experienced, and we need to pass that information on to those who are less experienced. Get with other marketers, share your ideas and information, and combine your skills and understanding. Work together to achieve what you cannot do alone. Don't worry about making money. As you provide help, and value to others, you will be successful. You will not merely make money. You will earn a living from your own home business!
