It's being called the Interstate Traveler Project, which has been unanimously resolved in 2003, when presented to the House and Senate in Michigan.  It's a mass transit system that can be installed throughout major urban areas, at the lowest possible cost, but high quality and resilient materials that will be pollution free.  They are calling it; The Hydrogen Superhighway.

Imagine being able to fly through populated areas without getting stuck in an overcrowded roadway.  Imagine cleaner air, that is free of much pollution around all major roadways.  Imagine arriving to your destination on time without being stressed, or full of road rage.  The Hydrogen Superhighway can make all of these dreams come true, allowing multitudes of people to go places while helping the environment at the same time.

The Hydrogen Superhighway will be helping the environment by removing vehicles from the roadways, decreasing the amount of carbon dioxide placed in the air from transportation.  It is possible that 60 million tons of carbon dioxide will be removed from the air per year, once the Superhighway becomes fully operational.  Cars, trucks, and even freight vehicles will no longer need to populate the roadways.

The economy will also receive a boost, as 750,000,000 tons of steel will need to be produced to make this project possible.  Steel manufacturers in America will have a great advantage as they will need to cover about 54,000 miles of highway.  It is possible that up to 2,160,000 people will receive the benefit of a full time job from this massive project which cannot come soon enough.

The Hydrogen Superhighway will be fully operational on alternative energy alone.

How is this possible?

The Superhighway will actually be lined with solar panels, providing energy for; transportation, communications, security, water and sewer.  The maglev system will have a central support beam which will house a conduit cluster.  This cluster will have the capabilities of transporting any liquid or vapor based material.

There will be potentially thousands of vehicles along the Superhighway which will be able to produce and supply hydrogen fuel, as well as electrical energy.

The transport vehicles will be able to adapt to G-forces on the fly based on their suspension systems, allowing a ride that is as quick and smooth as possible, while using up less energy to propel the vehicles at the same time.

Will this Superhighway be safe?

The Superhighway will have to meet all safety regulations, and will be constructed in such a way that it will not be easily damaged by weather or natural disasters.

The advantages of such a system are incredible.  Full time jobs will be created, the main source of power will be alternative energy (solar power), pollution in the form of carbon dioxide will be greatly reduced, the existing infrastructure will be upgraded, transportation of people, cargo, vehicles, businesses and medical units will be quick and easy, evacuations will be improved, and other sources of power will be generated through use of the Superhighway.

The Hydrogen Superhighway is a definite upgrade to our current transportation system that we desperately need.  People all over the world will benefit from the Superhighway, and the world itself will benefit as well thanks to the use of alternative energy.
