The Mummy: The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor movie was directed by Rob Cohen who is director of “Fast and Furious” and “XXX”. The Mummy Tomb of the Dragon Emperor was written by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar who wrote “Spiderman 2 and “Smallville” TV series. This movie is also known as The Mummy 3 for it is a sequel of The Mummy Returns (The Mummy 2). It is also known as “Das Grabmal des Drachenkaisers” (German title). This movie was made because of public demand. This movie actually is set actually to the beautiful Asia continent. Rick O ‘ Connell (Brendan Fraser) and his family will fight the tough tyrannical Emperor Han (Jet Li) who was awoken from a 2000-year-old-curse who will destroy the world and rebuild his great empire with his unbeaten 10000 army called “Terracota Army”. I’ll watch the movie and I will give the whole summary here.

TERRACOTA ARMY: FACT OR FICTION?

In the movie The Mummy: The Tomb of the Dragon Emperor, they have named Jet Li’s army ” The Terracota Army“. I have read about this army when I was just elementary level because I am really fond of reading encyclopedias. Upon seeing the trailer I was amazed about the army and it strikes my head because I have seen that before. It’s “The Terracota Army”! It seems the same as what I have seen in the encyclopedia. The movie really make it similar to ” The Terracota Army” which was buried deep in China. The word “Terra Cotta” means “cooked earth“. It is actually a clay baked for hardness and resistance of water. Terra Cotta was widely used by both Eastern and Western world during Ancient times. The “Terracota Army” right now was called “Mausoleum of the First Chi’n Emperor”. The Terracota army was composed of soldiers, chariots, and horses funerary statues which was discovered by Chinese farmers near the tomb of Shih-Huang Ti, the first Emperor of China. For added information, The Great Wall of China was costly monument to Shih-Huang Ti as well for he is the founder of Chi’n Dynasty. The Terracota Army is said to be a replika of Shih-Huang Ti’s armies and these were the faces of Shih-Huang Ti’s actual armies at that time. They have studied this statues and found out that each soldier is different from another one and are life size. And the elders said that this statues vary in height. The tallest are said to be the General and those who are in higher rank. It is said that it was built for the purpose of helping rule another empire with Shi Huang Di in the afterlife.
