Keira Knightley, was the top earning British Hollywood star this past year earning $32 million, at the young age of 23. The final episode of the Pirates of the Caribbean trilogy(supposedly), Atonement, and other advertisements combined to put her at number two overall in the female category. She was the only British star to reach the top 10 in Forbes's lists.

The only one to beat her out for the top spot played parts in Shrek and What Happens in Vegas....the 35 year-old, Cameron Diaz, earned $50 million this past year. Diaz beat out four of the top actors:

Leonardo DiCaprio, earned $45 million.

Bruce Willis, earned $41 million.

Ben Stiller, earned $40 million.

Nicolas Cage, earned $38 million.

The top male actor was none other than, Will Smith. I Am Legend, and The Pursuit of Happyness were huge, and helped to make Smith the first actor with eight consecutive movies each earning over $100 million. The 39 year-old just keeps getting better, and earned $80 million in one year!

Who came in second behind, Will Smith? The number two earner also starred in the hit, Pirates of the Caribbean. It's Johnny Depp, of course, who earned $72 million.

Eddie Murphy, followed Depp, with $55 million, as did Mike Myers, who earned the same amount.

Overall, the women were beat out 2 to 1 by the men in the top 10.

So how did the young teenagers do this past year?

Miley Cyrus, aka Hannah Montana, earned $25 million this past year at the age of 15, and so did Daniel Radcliffe, who is now 19 and one of the stars of the Harry Potter series. 18 year-old Emma Watson, earned $5.5 million, and 19 year-old Rupert Grint, earned $5 million. Both are co-stars of the Harry Potter series, and also made the top 10 in the younger category.

However, throughout all of the entertainment industry, no one earned more than JK Rowling, the author of Harry Potter, who earned $300 million, which surpassed the $275 earned by, Oprah.

At the top of the women's athletes category was, Maria Sharapova, who earned $26 million. While Tiger Woods, dominated the men's category with $115 million!

In other news, somehow The Police earned $115 million, while Genesis lagged behind at $31 million. Come on Genesis, get with it!
